SAIF receives samples from academic and research institutions, industries and other organizations. It also provides access to instrumental facilities for scientists in the region to carry out measurements for research.

SAMPLE SUBMISSION
Before you send a sample.
Read these requirements before dispatching samples or making a payment.
Prepare your letter
Academic users need a signed and sealed letter from their Head or Guide on institutional letterhead stating the research purpose. National labs need an institutional letter. Private agencies need a signed company letter with the undertaking specified below.
Pay in advance
Arrange payment by DD in favour of “Director, ICAR-IIHR, Bengaluru” or by NEFT. Include the DD or UTR number with the covering letter.
Send everything together
Place the covering letter, payment reference and properly packed samples in the same consignment. Provide separate samples for separate analyses. Results are sent by email after analysis.
Important conditions
- Unstable, explosive or hazardous compounds are not accepted.
- Samples without a covering letter and DD/UTR details may be returned; analysis begins after payment.
- Analytical data are for research and development, not certification for legal disputes.
- Students and research fellows should send applications through their Supervisor or Head of Department.
- Results used in publications or theses should acknowledge SAIF, IIHR–ICAR, Bengaluru.

Include this undertaking in the signed company letter:
